'Beannachtam na Feile Padraig!'
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Just a quick post. I'm still trying to fight off these germs. Pretty sure it's the flu since I spent the weekend in bed with fever and body aches. I'm over that now but I'm still suffering from a terrible sore throat--so hoarse and my tonsils feel like soccer balls in there. Possibly tonsillitis. I'm going to get that checked out tomorrow. But Hubby's home and so I've been able to rest more than I otherwise would have. (And the house is cleaner since he did some cleaning yesterday.) Needless to say, I haven't done much in the last week. No quilting, no scrapping, no St. Patty's Day crafts with the kids. And I usually make something Irish like lamb stew but instead the Colonel cooked for us. Extra crispy. Last year a leprechaun even visited us but not this year. Well, there's always next year.
Anyway, that's all for now. I'll leave you with this...

May the luck of the Irish
Lead to happiest heights
And the highway you travel
Be lined with green lights.

Wherever you go and whatever you do,
May the luck of the Irish be there with you.

If you’re enough lucky to be Irish...
You’re lucky enough!

May you have all the happiness
and luck that life can hold—
And at the end of all your rainbows
may you find a pot of gold.

May your pockets be heavy—
Your heart be light,
And may good luck pursue you
Each morning and night.

I think the Colonel may have some Irish blood in him—I mean, imagine him with a green top hat. He could be a leprechaun.

We didn't have any green festivities around here either. I woke up with a cold. I didn't even bake the mint brownies that I've been craving for the past several days.

Hope you feel better soon!

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. That's never fun.
Oh, and no mint brownies for Manda? That's not fun, either. Get well, you two!
