Your Favorite Passion

So my favorite daughter had a birthday yesterday! 10 years old. Time flies, doesn't it? She wanted to take cookies to school to share with her class (instead of cupcakes) and asked me to make snickerdoodles and sugar cookies. So she helped me make them and they were delicious! She's having a birthday party with her friends on Saturday so yesterday was pretty low key. Of course, she had school plus soccer practice. For her birthday dinner she requested roast chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and fruit salad with apples, bananas, strawberries, mangoes, and marshmallows. She picked that over a dinner out! After dinner she opened presents. These are boxes that came in the mail from her grandma LJR.

One contained a skirt and matching jacket made by her grandma.

She also got a Pokemon (don't know what the Pokemon's name is I'm afraid) hat from Grandma. She wore it the rest of the night. She loves it!

And from her other grandma she got some money! She already spent some of it on clothes for her new 18" doll that she also got.

She also got quite a few new My little Pony Equestria Girls dolls to add to her collection.

And a few other things like nail polish and markers. Finally, there were mini cupcakes and ice cream. Make a wish!

 

It's hard to believe my baby is 10. It seems just yesterday she was a tiny newborn who refused to sleep anywhere but in my arms. (I slept many nights in a sitting position on the couch hoping I wouldn't drop her on the floor. Otherwise I wouldn't have slept at all) And now she has grown into a beautiful young lady. Smart, sassy and sweet. I'm so glad I have such a wonderful daughter.And I'm REALLY glad she finally decided to sleep in her own bed without me having to hold her! LOL
